Broadwey, Upwey & District Horticultural Society

For generations, the Broadwey, Upwey & District Horticultural Society has brought together gardeners, growers and local residents from Upwey, Broadwey and the surrounding Weymouth area in Dorset.

The Society welcomes everyone with an interest in gardening, flowers, vegetables, home produce and the enjoyment of growing things — whether you are an experienced gardener or just starting out.

Upwey & Broadwey Summer Horticultural Show

One of the highlights of the year is the Summer Show at the Upwey & Broadwey Memorial Hall.

The show brings together local residents exhibiting flowers, vegetables, fruit, baking, preserves, crafts and other entries.

It is a traditional village event enjoyed by exhibitors, visitors and families from Upwey, Broadwey, Weymouth and the surrounding Dorset villages.

Membership offers access to monthly village meetings, seed discounts, expert advice, and entry into friendly annual show competitions.

The Upwey & Broadwey Horticultural Society has been part of village life for many years, bringing together people with an interest in gardening, flowers, vegetables, home produce and the enjoyment of our local community.

The Society welcomes both experienced gardeners and complete beginners. Throughout the year it provides opportunities to meet others, share ideas and take part in local horticultural activities and events.

One of the highlights of the year is the Summer Show at Upwey & Broadwey Memorial Hall, where local residents exhibit flowers, vegetables, fruit, baking, preserves, crafts and other entries. It is a friendly village occasion that celebrates the considerable talent and enthusiasm found throughout Upwey and Broadwey.
