Legend has it that taking a sip of the water from a glass and throwing the rest backward over your left shoulder while making a wish will bring good fortune! Getting Here

  • By Bus: Skip the car and take the First Bus No. 10, which runs frequently between Dorchester and Weymouth. Alight at the Elwell Street stop for instant access to the village.

  • By Car: Upwey is easily accessible just off the main A354 corridor. Free visitor parking is available near the church, where small voluntary donations are welcomed.
