A new community art group is being planned for Upwey to show just how many there are. . We welcome painters, skechers, photographers, craft enthusiasts and anyone with an interest in creativity. Over the first year members create paintings, sketches and photographs of:

The River Wey
St Laurence Church
St Nicholas Church
Upwey Old Manor
The village lanes
Local wildlife

The best works could then be displayed in an Upwey Art Exhibition and featured on the Upwey Village website.

As we establish the club, our goal is to build a vibrant, supportive group shaped entirely by its members. We may put together a calendar of social meetups, practical drawing and painting groups, half-day lessons, and a variety of art talks. These will be run for and by our members, with opportunities to open them up to the wider public as well.
